"Quelques Maux" is the first album of a new French combo from Paris. After two demos and a big numbers of live performances, the band proposes today its first release which will probably be attractive for the people who use to listen to the new wave of French Nu Metal. The other ones who like Metal won't find anything special here even if the band is honest and definitely not so bad. It's a matter of taste really but you'll have to listen to "Quelques Maux" before that you buy it, just be warned.

The music of Bad-In is not bad at all but its main problem comes from the fact that it's too Pop for a metalhead and too Metal for someone who use to listen to Pop. It's not bad and the melodies are cool all in all with good melodic choruses and strong Nu Metal riffs but this is a bit soft for someone like me. If you want to understand how it can be maybe that you could compare to the soft songs of Mass Hysteria (for the ones who know them), this is catchy and everything but not revolutionary and definitely not Metal. It can be boring in my opinion for someone who doesn't like the Nu Metal French scene but if you're into all those bands be sure that "Quelques Maux" will be perfect for your tiny little ears?

The performance of the musicians is more than ok and the singer is not so bad. Too bad that the lyrics are a bit too cliché but at least the production is really good for a self-released album and the digipack with two booklets is just excellent and truly professional. I think that Bad-In maybe need some time and more experience to be a bit more mature and find its own sound, they have good ideas (the electronic sounds are cool for example) already but need to work a bit on the originality of their music.

"Quelques Maux" is maybe not something for me but honestly this is a good Rock release and if you're into new Rock music, I'm sure that you'll find good things in this release. Just keep an eye on this band and try their first album to have your own opinion. I'm quite sure that they will be able to surprise us with time.
