There are some bands which play music for a long time and which are not so famous unfortunately despite the fact that they have played with killers like Saxon, Bob Catley, TNT or Gothard. It's been 15 years that the guys of Lost Weekend play together and they never reached an international recognition which is totally unfair in reason of the quality of their music. Things must change one day and I'm quite sure that their new album "Fear And Innocence" will be a good opportunity to move on!

If you like UFO, Bob Catley, well good melodic Hard Rock in general, I'm sure that you'll enjoy a lot "Fear And Innocence"! Ok, I'm not saying that this release is the revolution of the year 2008 and even if the structures of the release remain classic, we're in front of a really good album. The songs are melodic, catchy with cool riffs and even if this is not so brutal, I can tell you that the guys are not sissies who only play "lovers ballads". No no Lost Weekend is a good band with guys who know what good Rock N Roll is, this is not the most innovative music ever done ok but at least a song like "Life With The Lid Off" will remind you the class of Whitesnake when "Find On My Way" will be a lot more Heavy Metal in the spirit. Don't worry too, you'll even be able to listen to ballads like "Father And Son" and definitely they're not cheesy! Really "Fear And Innocence" is a good album.
As you can guess, this kind of band full of veterans doesn't have any problem when it comes to the musical performances of its members. All the guys are extremely good and the hot voice of Paul Uttley is really classy. The production of the release is perfect and yes as you know its only problem is that it's not so new? but at least it doesn't sound rotten or out of date, they knew how to be modern even if they play old school music.

"Fear And Innocence" is a really nice album of Melodic Hard rock and I recommend it to all the people who like to listen to such music. Don't expect a lot of new things here but at least you'll have quality which is definitely not a bad thing. Let's hope that Lost Weekend will find new fans through this release and I hope that you'll be able to discover their live performance at Sweden Rock Festival 2009 (a good thing right?). Have a look at it if you want cute melodies, you'll not be disappointed!
