After two years and the departure of Mike Saez just after the release of the last album of the band, "Balsphemy", Incantation is back now, through Listenable Records, for the rebirth of the band as a trio. "Decimate Christendom" is the new production of the American combo, and believe me that all the fans of real Death Metal, will be happy to learn that this album will be, in my opinion, a real success.
The question was to know how the music of the band could sound without Mike Saez for the vocals. Well the answer is that there is no problem for this point. John McEntee is a really good guitarist, we already know that, but he is also a great Death Metal singer, and this new album is here to confirm it, believe me, if you have some doubts, there is no problems with the new singer…
"Decimate Christendom" is a true "old school" Death Metal album. Fast but also slow tempo, with excellent guitars riffs and solo and grunts as vocals evidently. The good point for me is that this album even if it's brutal is very easy of access. I really have the feeling, when I listen to it, that a lot of people could like this new production of the band. This is true Death Metal, but this really well done and at the end, it will be a real pleasure for all the fans of this music to listen to this new album of the band.
Maybe the only problem of this album could come by the fact that the music is not really original, as I said before, this is true Death no more. But believe me this is done in the pure tradition of the style and it's good sometime to have bands like Incantation which can keep their first musical style without doing a ton of changes which are at the end more disturbing for the fans, than anything else…
I don't have the final version of the album, only the unmastered version, but the sound is really good, then I suppose that it will be perfect for the final one. No problem of production, we will have a really good album of Death Metal, no doubt on it.
This new album of Incantation will be a success, I'm sure of it. This is well done and the band even if it's a trio now, is always very good and powerful. If you are a fan of Death Metal, "Decimate Christendom" is a must have.

It's a good album, I agree with the review on the ''The good point for me is that this album even if it's brutal is very easy of access'' part. But about the vocals, John's voice didnt impress me, they seem below the avarage, not horrible thou.
In the end this album work out very good, one of the best in Incantation discography. Not the best cause ''Mortal Throne Of Nazarene'' occupies this title to me. |

| Probably the best of their more recent albums, and I definitely prefer this to Infernal Storm or Blasphemy. But overall, there are probably only two or three great songs on this album. |

| This album sounds really brutal, but only a pair of songs are good... most of them are boring. For me their worst. |

| To be honest I never liked Incantation after their first two albums. Onward to Golgotha is an amazing death metal album though. |
