Even though this was a promo EP I got some time ago from a label and band I knew nothing about I was still intrigued not only because my knowledge of Turkish metal is minimal but also because the description was promising: "bizarre structures of atmospheric sound bringing a new concept of post black metal." These were the words I read but they weren't representative words for this EP.

It's not that bad though. Even if it wasn't as unique and bizarre as I expected it to be it was still quite fresh at times. The main problem doesn't lie on originality but on the execution and song writing itself. I really wanted this EP to sound good but at times it's extremely difficult if not downright impossible to take it seriously because of the distracting screams and moans that try to evoke a sense of sickness and fear but just turn out to be silly in a witch-meets-retard-meets-creepy-uncle kind of way especially during the numerous passages when the music is mainly ambient and quiet. There's some potential though, the band is at their best when they throw away most of the ambient music with off-putting vocals and go straight to the black metal sound with razor-like riffing, howling and screams of agony with some haunting keyboard in the background to connect all the things together. Tracks like "Farkındalık Reaksiyonu" and "Acrosome" were of my liking but those moments are too spread across the EP with useless ambient and awful "scary" vocals in between.

My only advice to this young band is to develop their sound in the vein of the more black metal-driven tracks and drop most of the ambient interludes and vocals. This EP is too confusing, the highs are high but the lows are way too low. An average rating and my wishes for improvement is the best I can give to this band right now.
