21:21 - Ilham This is why younger people get so bored watching old movies. They can't quite understand why they're not on the brink of an epileptic seizure while watching them.
21:21 - !J.O.O.E.! has changed* but yeah, a sense of tangibility has all but been lost in much of film these days.
21:20 - Zaphod Oh yeah, definitely. If someone's been filming the same person for 3 seconds they need to change to camera angle. Preferable to an explosion. And District 9 definitely knew how to handle CGI.
21:18 - !J.O.O.E.! It's worrying how the average shot length had changed in film over the years. And yeah, sometimes CGI can be spectacular. The prawns in District 9 really blew me away at how integrated they looked in each shot.
21:14 - Zaphod I agree Joe. Movies should make you go 'whoa, how'd they do that?' every now and then. But if everything is done with CGI you never get that feeling.
21:05 - Ilham Yep. Bat your eyelids once and you miss the whole plot.
20:54 - !J.O.O.E.! Yep, it's fine in moderation when there's no other way but saturating films with tons of fake looking CGI is a bit of a scourge I think. That and overly fast paced editing.
