Hi! Great list, I saw White Walls once again this summer, they were amazing!
Maybe you should consider adding the Metalcore band Goodbye To Gravity as you seem to include some bands not featured on MS.

I'm trying not to add too many releases. There are so many albums that I regret not adding but I want it to be a short list of both the best and the most historically important releases.

Okay, this is epic!

Oh I see, I thought you wanted to make a list as exhaustive as possible Anyway, it will already take some time to listen to all the great stuff up there!

I dare say Celelalte Cuvinte is not inferior to Rush, the only similarity is the acquired taste singer situation, CC's first two albums are quite original if you ask me.

If you mention Phoenix, might as well mention Sfinx whose first two albums may satisfy both rock fans and prog-rock ones.

No love for Luna Amara? There is a metal influence in some of their songs. I like them a lot.

Also Kumm and Byron are great as well.

I do like Celelalte Cuvinte, I even went to one of their gigs, but I just wish they had a different singer.
I know all those bands, but I don't want a list of all Romanian bands.

All Romanian bands?! I barely know what's going on (if anything) and I have little interest in extreme metal (I do like Om and Dardeduh).

Apparently there is an underground scene and young bands playing in clubs and so on.

Very few bands I've listened have impressed me. There are some new bands. A progressive rock band called Echo released 2 albums, they are quite good. Alternative Quartet has two albums, great stuff (I bet these musicians have 9 to 5 jobs and play music for pleasure). Urma was another band that was good, I don't even know if they are still around.

Veteran bands are struggling; CC announced they would release a new album, following Stem, hasn't happened yet.
Cristi Minculescu buried the hatchet with his band mates from Iris and (I LOLed reading this) will be touring as Cristi Minculescu & Iris (Cristi suddenly has a big ego). I'm curious how long it will last.

Prog-rockers Accent released an album in 2007, I wish I could buy that, was there a place for that? Poor distribution ruined it all for poor guys that worked hard to create something unique (a friend of mine sent me the album, I was lucky to listen to it).
