Heh... never would have expected an FF soundtrack to appear on any user's list on MS. VI did indeed have the best soundtrack, Nobuo was at the height of his powers during the SNES era

Fuck yes on Fragile and Violator, but I'm gonna have to figure out how to block you for liking ELP and Genesis. SMH
----
Bands that suck: Dream Theater, Dragonforce, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, the folk rock half of Led Zeppelin, 99% of thrash metal bands from the turn of the century, Mumford & Sons, any death metal band influenced by Necrophagist.

That is all for now.

There's a pretty long thread dedicated to video game music, so the FFVI soundtrack is hardly unprecedented. Not my personal pick for video game music (I don't think it's possible to pretend the technical limitations hurt the execution, even if the composition is top-notch), but a great choice nonetheless.

Can't say any of the other picks would make it to any lists of mine (well, I do have most of them on my decades - i.e. 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s - Spotify playlists, but they also have Britney Spears). Selling England by the Pound is a pretty fun prog album.

Not at all joking when I say I'd take any number of Britney Spears albums over all of the albums on that list. But I fucking love Britney Spears.

The Claypool Lennon collab that good? I am real fan of Primus and some of Claypool's more avant solo works, so I think I might give it a try.
