Bands that have never released anything weak are hard to rank (and Threshold is one of them indeed).
I wouldn't know how to do it but thumbs up for your effort.

I am amazed you put Legends of the Shires in second place, I would have put it last. Sounds like they told the new vocalist to try and sound like the previous ones.. Either way I couldn't get into it, some lyrics were a bit lame.

Glynn Morgan sang for Threshold back in 1994 on their Psychedelicatessen album. He sounds like himself, he does not try to imitate Damian or Mac. He just fits in nicely if you ask me, that's why the band brought him back when Damian left.

Threshold always had decent lyrics, never bothered me, you have to be a little more specific what's lame about them.

"Like stars and satellites?".. thanks for that analogy. Oh I didn't know he was there in the beginning. Was he in any other bands in the meantime?

I don't think Glynn sounds anything like Mac or Damian. I liked Legends of the Shires when it was released but it took quite some spins before I really got into it and now I love every single second of the record. Brilliant songwriting and performance.

I do agree with this, Threshold has touched some intresting themes (politics and environmental questions for example) in their lyrics and are good at using metaphors in their lyrics and very rarely it felt to be executed bad, sometimes it's a bit over the top and I don't agree with all the political stuff but at least it gets one thinking about various ideas.
