I'm not sure, but I think she didn't put Wintersun because it's "extreme power metal", when bands in that list are more or less "pure power metal". if you see what I mean.

Ye man, I see what you mean... but on the list is also Falconer which is something like Folk Power Metal ... Manticora (progressive) and Van Canto which is I-Dont-Know-What, ''Power'' Metal, but OK... I am just saying. Personaly I would put theese other albums I meantion earlier instead of that... I..I

I find the exclusion of Stratovarius to be curious. Any reason why?

Because I absolutely hate this band! Visions is, for me, one of the biggest pieces of crap in Power Metal. I never understood why everyone praises this boring album...
As for the others: Lokaeda is right about Wintersun (no "extreme" Power Metal in this list), Karma because there already is a Kamelot album (which is my absolute fav), I consider Horror Show more Heavy Metal, and I haven't listened (yet) to the other three (The Art of War, Temple of Shadows, No World Order) LichBorne suggested. Maybe they'll make it into the list, when I have

Stratovarius = Boring?
My mind = Blown!

That's amazing to me!! Stratovarius is one of my favorite bands, but I agree with most of your list (especially Ecliptica, Black Halo, and Legacy of Kings). I just figured that anyone who likes Helloween and Heavenly would like Stratovarius. Can't assume everything I guess.

If it doesn't bother you, can you answer this question: Is Visions all that you've heard, or did you try some of their other albums?

Yeah, it seems that I am the only person on this planet who doesn't enjoy this band.
I have only listened to Visions, but as this is considered as one of their best albums and I hated it so much, I didn't fell like wasting even more time...

As a fan, I actually prefer Episode and Infinity to Visions, but they're still very much alike. I wonder what you would think of their early stuff like Fright Night when they were more speed than power metal or of their latest stuff like Polaris and Elysium now that Tolkki isn't in the band anymore (they totally sound like a different band to me).

So I finally listened to their older stuff. I found it slightly better than Visions, but still didn't like it. Same with their more recent albums... I don't think I ever gonna like this band.
