Screechy Evil Felonious Blitzing Metal

The concept of this list is not exceptionally well defined, but I'm circling a basic concept of lean, fast-paced metal with high-pitched vocals that tend to be on the harsher side. The album that inspired the compilation was Evil Invaders' Shattering Reflection, so that can serve as a template; not everything here necessarily sounds exactly like that, but it's all somewhere in the blackened speed/power-thrash/particularly aggressive heavy metal continuum. I'm going entirely by what feels right to me and not necessarily what makes sense on paper, so don't hold this to a rigid standard of consistency.

Here are a few individual tracks that I also thought fit the mood nicely:

Accept - "Fast As A Shark"
Accept - "Fight It Back"
3 Inches Of Blood - "Leather Lord"
Judas Priest - "Ram It Down"
Judas Priest - "Hard As Iron"
Satan - "Trial By Fire"
Crisix - "Ultra Thrash"
Fifth Angel - "In The Fallout"

1.Judas Priest - Painkiller
2.Evil Invaders - Shattering Reflection
3.Bütcher - 666 Goats Carry My Chariot
4.Agent Steel - Skeptics Apocalypse
5.Riot - ThunderSteel

THE METAL BIBLE Part II: The 80s

Welcome to what I consider the "1980s Metal Bible" or in other words, a list of records of various genres in the arrays of Metal and Hard Rock that I deem essential or at least very recommended to listeners of hard and heavy music. In this second part we conquer the mighty decade that many deem as the classic decade of Metal. This and the other parts of this journey through the decades may be a very overwhelming list. I essentially try to collect all albums in the History of Metal that strike me as worthwhile. May this be a guideline for people that seek for an entrance to a particular genre or certain bands. In no means I am saying, that this list is indisputable by any means. I consider these my personal picks for albums that should be listened to by die-hard metal fans at least once. Hopefully you can discover some new music or relate with my picks. If I missed something that you would include in such a list, please tell me in the form of a comment. Enjoy! \,,/

1.Tygers Of Pan Tang - Wild Cat
2.Krokus - Metal Rendez-Vous
3.Witchfynde - Give 'Em Hell
4.Angel Witch - Angel Witch
5.Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Ozz

Empowering Albums For Powerless Losers

This is a list of all the power metal albums I have listened to that are worth remembering. Like my other genre lists, this is not meant to be a definitive guide to power metal or a binding judgment on what power metal is or is not. The list exists purely for my own organizational purposes and may contain bands or albums that are not strictly True Knights of the Eternal Thundersword.

The first cluster includes my favorite albums in the genre (and a significant number of my all-time favorites); beyond that, they are listed by rating from 9/10 down to 6/10 and alphabetically within each bracket.

Last updated November 27, 2021.

1.Blind Guardian - Nightfall In Middle-Earth
2.Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side
3.Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond
4.Jag Panzer - Thane To The Throne
5.X Japan - Art Of Life

Jag Panzer Albums Ranked

Fronted by the almighty Tyrant, led by Mark Briody and been a home to guitar lords as Joey Tafolla, Chris Broderick and Christian Lasegue. And no, let's no forget the rythm section by John Tetley and the beast Rikard Stjernquist. Jag Panzer has it all and it reflects on their strong material. Apart from the mistep in in the early 90's they have never released a weak album and time and time again proves they are among the top bands in the genre. The last 15 years we've only got 2 albums which is a shame, they really need to step up their writing and recording process. So here are all their albums ranked with some top picks to guide you. Total destruction from the Panzer patrol, Fire and brimstone taking its toll!!

1.Jag Panzer - Ample Destruction
2.Jag Panzer - Thane To The Throne
3.Jag Panzer - Chain Of Command
4.Jag Panzer - The Deviant Chord
5.Jag Panzer - The Scourge Of The Light

"The Greatest Vocalists In Rock & Metal Music"

This is a guide list to some of the greatest voices in the history of rock & metal music, ranked in alphabetical order, by singer's name. I know that there are many more great singers/vocalists out there and that some really good singers were left out of this list.

The criteria by which the following singers were selected are:
1. Anything regarding the voice and the vocal performance (voice quality, technique, range, originality, creativity, etc.)
2. Influence - effect (if a singer has been an influence on other singers or a musical genre)
3. My personal taste

The form of the list is "Band - Trademark Album For The Singer"
"Name of the singer" (Bands he/she has joined)

1.My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans
2.Primordial - To The Nameless Dead
3.Watchtower - Control And Resistance
4.Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies

Best to Worst Metal Albums of 1984

Why 1984? Because that's the year I was born. I'm not saying that my birthyear makes anything else significant, but I figured I would take an interest in every album that's as old as I am. Yup, it's that lame. Here they are from best to worst in my opinion.

By the way, only the albums I've listened to go on this list, but I'll get to them, I promise! This is definitely a work in progress as I continue to listen to more metal.

1.Metallica - Ride The Lightning
2.Metal Church - Metal Church
3.Autograph - Sign In Please
4.Iron Maiden - Powerslave
5.Trouble - Psalm 9
