I'll keep expanding this list continuously, so all suggestions are welcome (granted they are featured on MS). All the albums here are ranked according to genre and then alphabetically. Back in the 2nd half of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, Heavy Metal wasn't a common expression amongst portuguese people. Portugal had just discovered that there was a real world behind the invisible wall built by the dictatorship that had fallen a few years earlier.

"Beatnicks", "Aqui De'l Rock", or "TNT" were some of the bands who had been releasing some singles and EP's of Hard-Rock at the very beginning of the 80's. They paved the rising of other bands that would work that sound, and release the first studio albums of Hard-Rock and Heavy Metal.
