First impressions and fine climaxes. That's what it's about folks. 2. Ævangelist - De Masticatione Mortuorum In Tumulis
3. Aeternus - ...and So the Night Became
4. Agalloch - The Mantle

Positive music for positive people

No recent lists for depressive black metal albums/ep's" on here, probably because no one gives a shit, but i thought i'd make one anyway.
Some are albums that first got me interested, some are just the more depressive albums and not necessarily my favorite out of there discography, and some like "happy days" and "i'm in a coffin" are just there because they really are terribly depressing harrowing stuff created by truly abused sad fucked up minds.

1. Happy Days - Cause Of Death: Life
2. Happy Days - Defeated By Life
3. I'm in a coffin - One final action
4. Nocturnal Depression - The Cult Of Negation
5. Nocturnal Depression - Reflections of a sad soul

The Epics (Because I Don't Think Pyramid God Is Coming Back)

My version of The Epics (Best Songs Over 10 Minutes) only this time it's more The Epics (Songs Over 10 Minutes) because we kept griping to PG and he wouldn't update his list. According to his profile he hasn't been on in... 371 days. So I thought "Hey, why not do it myself?"
Arranged by time. If you feel or know a song should be on here, let me know. I'm a mainstream fag, so I only listen to the popular stuff. I might have missed some bands.

1. Be'lakor - Stone's Reach
2. Kalisia - Cybion
3. Sun Of The Blind - Skullreader
4. Nile - Ithyphallic
5. Nightwish - Once

My Favorite Atmospheric Black Metal Albums (WIP)

This is a favorites list, not a guide or anything of that sort. It just highlights the albums that I've enjoyed listening to and spinned extensively since last November (When I got into this monolithic genre.) One entry for each band. The descriptions aren't necessarily descriptions of the music. I just wrote what came to my mind. I will update with new albums frequently.
EDIT: Got to 50 entries, so I guess I'll stop for now. I want more time to revisit these 50, get into the other albums of the bands listed below and delve into other genres of metal. I guess that taking a break from black metal (at least new stuff) will ensure that I won't get bored of it. It is likely that I'll continue this list by the half of July.

1. A Forest Of Stars - Opportunistic Thieves Of Spring
2. Addaura - Burning For The Ancient
3. Agalloch - Pale Folklore
4. Alcest - Écailles De Lune
5. Alda - : Tahoma :

My Favorite Albums

This is very hard to do since there are a lot of albums I would like to put here since I know they would deserve it, but music is a matter of opinions right? Well, this list represents the albums that really made me go "wow" and not just their historical or influential values.

I could have included albums from bands like Enslaved, Darkthrone, Merciless, Immortal, Emperor, Sodom, etc... that, more or less, influenced the albums on this list. But as I've said, they have been very influential and are the reasons why I can have those albums that make me go "wow" and why I am someone who can easily appreciate when bands take the old good influences and try to push it in one way or another, and, remember, the fact that I can go "wow" with these albums is purely subjective! We could say that most bands actually fail and just make me want to go listen to old material but some of those bands can do it so greatly for me that I have no choice but to appreciate the fact that they make me enjoy music that we have these days and make new material that is worth listening to rather than wanting to make me go back to these older albums.

1. Moonsorrow - V: Hävitetty
2. Gris - Il Était Une Forêt...
3. Burzum - Filosofem
4. Bathory - Blood Fire Death
5. Moonsorrow - Verisäkeet
