I got drunk and made a list of my favorite black metal albums. Give me suggestions or remind me what I left out. I'll add mini-reviews eventually because otherwise it's just a boring list of albums with no context.

1. Master's Hammer - Ritual
2. Dissection - The Somberlain
3. Bethlehem - Dark Metal
4. Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse
5. Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas

Mia Has Seen The Dark: Best Of Belgian Metal

Write your suggestions on a block of wood, put those in a carton box (preferably one that's much too big,) mail it to any place in Belgium. I will then spend about fifteen minutes going around the entire country gathering all these boxes and start burning them one by one. Meanwhile I will be listening to each suggestion while the bonfire keeps me warm.

1. Emptiness - Nothing But The Whole
2. Alkerdeel - Morinde
3. Oathbreaker - Mælstrøm
4. Lugubrum - Herval
5. ⬛-⬛⬛-⬛-⬛⬛-⬛-⬛⬛-⬛-⬛⬛-⬛

Kvlt, Meet Riff: Blackened Doom And Sludge

Had been wanting to do this for a while, title's pretty self explanatory. Black and doom are my two favorite metal subgenres, and when the two are combined into pure melancholic chaos, I scream like a little girl. I decided to take a broad approach with this one and include blackened sludge bands as well, as I think doom and sludge have similar origins and can fall under the same general banner. *Translation: I don't care if you think they can't. As usual, suggestions are both warmly welcomed and appreciated. Limit one album per band.

1. BLACKENED DOOM & DRONE
2. Arcana Coelestia - Le Mirage De L'Idéal
3. Atriarch - Ritual Of Passing
4. Autumnblaze - DämmerElbenTragödie
5. Bast - Spectres

My Favorite Black And Doom Metal Albums Of 2012!

Its in alphabetical order by albums... Some albums on this list may or may not be the exact description of Black or Doom Metal or their subgenres. They just seem to fit for my taste and way I like my Black And Doom dosage. I'm sure some may say Les Discrets and Alcest and other bands on the list can't be Black or Doom because of their sounds and lyrical themes, but if their music gives me that darkness that let's say Watain or Gorgoroth give in Black Metal just without the Satanic lyrics and more of the emotions of Blackness and Doom then to me its Black Metal and the same goes to whatever Doom bands are on my list. If anyone checks out my list, thanks.

1. Mental Home - Угра
2. Forgotten Tomb - ...And Don't Deliver Us From Evil
3. Profetus - ...To Open The Passages In Dusk
4. Narrow House - A Key To Panngrieb
5. A Forest Of Stars - A Shadowplay For Yesterdays

The Best Of Dissonant Metal

Metal art of dissonance as I love it.
Rules:
- on album per band, unless the band has very different albums.
-I'm not picky for albums released before 2000.
-I'm not picky for genres that are to some degrees unusual for the dissonance, like sludge metal.

This list is open to suggestions.

1. Abyssal - Novit Enim Dominus Qui Sunt Eius
2. Alkerdeel - Morinde
3. Altars - Paramnesia
4. Amnis Nihili - Christological Escalation
5. Antediluvian - λόγος

2. Abruptum - Potestates Apocalypsis
3. Absolutus - Pugnare In Iis Quae Obtinere Non Possis
4. Abyssal - Novit Enim Dominus Qui Sunt Eius

The Best Of Unorthodox Black Metal

Within the past decade, black metal has seen bands from all over the world incorporating new sounds to the genre and changing its delivery like never before. As great as the classic bands are, BM bands today seem to be branching out in every possible direction. From the beautiful chaos of the French bands, to the developing psychedelic black metal style, and even the Avantgarde craziness of Mories... all the experimentation is helping to create a bold new identity for the genre's sound. Black metal today could very well be the one area of metal where we see the most experimentation taking place, and I hope the albums in this list will illustrate this growing trend.

1. Ved Buens Ende - Written In Waters
2. Deathspell Omega - Fas - Ite, Maledicti, In Ignem Aeternum
3. Blut Aus Nord - MoRT
4. Diapsiquir - Virus STN
5. Glorior Belli - The Great Southern Darkness
