The Iron Maiden List Because today is the 10 year anniversary of me purchasing my first Iron Maiden album, I decided to do what every other Maiden fan on this site has already done: create an "Iron Maiden album ranking" list. Yes, yet another one. Maiden was my first favourite metal band and remains one of my favourite bands to this day. They also opened up a whole new world of music for me and I can trace most of the stuff I've listened to since back to Maiden, either directly or indirectly. So, without further dudes, let us begin.

The "Must Have" And The "Could Have" Metal Albums Of The 80's These are the 211 essential hard rock/metal albums of the 80's, as were selected by the Greek Magazine "Metal Hammer" (August 2001 issue).
The albums followed by a star are the "must have", whereas the rest albums are the "could have".

My Maiden hangover - songs I'd gladely see Iron Maiden skip during their live shows What's a Maiden hangover? You know a regular hangover, right? It's really bad, your head hurts and you feel ill. You know you still love beer, but you don't want it for a while. That's how I've felt about some Iron Maiden songs for a couple of years now. I've seen Maiden six times since 2005, and that's not even during the same tours. Still I feel like they play the same couple of songs over and over again. I can understand why, being a huge band with some monumental metal classics. But a little variety, please! I went to a show last night and thought during it "it's enough now". One of the best things about seeing the same bands over and over again, is to witness them play different songs. One that I haven't already experienced live. But this never happens with Maiden, we get like 1-2 songs they haven't played in a while. And its not just witnessing the same songs over and over again, it's the fucking same coreography during them too!

Top Iron Maiden Albums (In Progress) Iron Maiden, an inspirational band and a metal band that has truly stood the test of time. Iron Maiden is not my favorite band, but the most significant band in my life. I stumbled upon them almost accidently one fateful day at a Circuit City in May of 2005. I liked the artwork and wanted to listen to something different. Once I popped it in my CD player, I was never the same again....

Another Iron Maiden Album Ranking Here is my personal ranking of all the Iron Maiden albums released thus far. This is a personal faves list, so don't get butt-hurt because Powerslave is not number one and such. Thanks.

The Most Metal / Rock Albums With Impact On Me Kinda saw another relative lists on here that state this, one bad and one inspirational, so thought I might do my own.
Alphabetic order. And don't ask why a lot of Testament stuff is there, if their albums hadn't had so much impact, Testa wouldn't be my favorite band.

The Albums That Made Me Who I Am Today - Part 1: The Early Years OK, let's get this straight right now: THIS IS NOT A LIST OF MY FAVOURITE ALBUMS. Neither is it a 'Best Of' list in any shape, manner or form. And it is also not a list of albums I consider to be important in Metal history in general (though many of them assuredly would be considered so).
What this list is: I started thinking about why I listen to Metal, and why I listen to certain bands and not others. And how my tastes have changed enormously in the approx 15 years I've been, as one might say, a Metalhead. I thought it would be interesting to look over my collection and pick out those albums I consider to be landmarks in my listening career and write a little bit about why each is significant to me.
