KB's Favorite Albums Of All Time (Only Metal)

Here is my provisional favorite-metal-albums-of-all-time-list! Enjoy!
The first 10 albums are in pretty accurate order. However, after that, it becomes harder and harder to separate the albums clearly. Thus, you can say that I enjoy album x on the list as much as the others in the interval of (x-5) to (x+5). For example album 37 would be as much enjoyed as 32, 33, 34, ..., 42, or something like that.

1. Cult Of Luna - Somewhere Along The Highway
2. Disillusion - Back To Times Of Splendor
3. Grand Alchemist - Intervening Coma-Celebration
4. Opeth - Blackwater Park
5. Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory

The Most Metal / Rock Albums With Impact On Me

Kinda saw another relative lists on here that state this, one bad and one inspirational, so thought I might do my own.

Alphabetic order. And don't ask why a lot of Testament stuff is there, if their albums hadn't had so much impact, Testa wouldn't be my favorite band.

1. AC/DC - Back In Black
2. Accept - Stalingrad
3. Agalloch - The Mantle
4. Amon Amarth - Versus The World
5. Anthrax - Spreading The Disease

Albums For Double-bass Lovers

I think that my list of fastest double bass song is about to be wrapped up. After the scientific approach of it, I'm ready to launch another, not that scientific research, where I list albums featuring arithmetically most bassdrum-beats per minute. This not done by numbers, but more by ear, relying heavily on my earlier list, however. Also, if a band has multiple albums which would fit in, I have chosen the... thumpiest.

1. Fleshgod Apocalypse - Mafia
2. Hour of Penance - The Vile Conception
3. Nile - Those Whom The Gods Detest
4. Infant Annihilator - The Palpable Leprosy Of Pollution
5. Putridity - Degenerating Anthropophagical Euphoria

Konrad's Top 25 Albums Of 2009

My top Metal picks for 2009. It was in interesting year and a good transition into what I feel will be a decade of progression as never seen before.

If you don't agree with my list, make your own. I obviously don't have time to listen to 5,000 albums every year. Magazines that do, such as Decibel or Terrorizer, usually have trouble conjuring up 40 quality albums to throw on their yearly lists, so cut me some slack...I am not working with a team of people, and I don't get paid. I'm sure there are plenty of great albums that I have yet to discover or that I have just not been able to listen to...but all of those that are listed have been personally approved by me. The numbers are not as important to me. I would greatly appreciate some "Thumbs ups", as I have put a lot of my personal time into this list, and also into reviewing these great albums.

1. Wodensthrone - Loss
2. Mastodon - Crack the Skye
3. Anaal Nathrakh - In the Constellation of the Black Widow
4. Krallice - Dimensional Bleedthrough
5. Napalm Death - Time Waits for No Slave
