What a harsh year this has been to fans of metal. We're not even through December and I'm still fearing that another one of our beloved musicians might get sick and die. The year certainly wasn't as massive as 2009, but luckily had quite a strong finish. If there's one thing that the albums have in common, it's that they're all completely unique. Bands that try something different will always score more points in my book. This list came into being after reading RaduP's Getting Into: Negura Bunget article. I have always wondered why people are so in awe of Om and disregard Vîrstele Pămîntului. Since this is not the only band where I tend to prefer another album than what many perceive as the climax of a band. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
