Some albums are really good. Many of these are good all the way around. And, in many cases, there is a single song that stands out, sometimes it's the last song on the album. This is a list of those songs.

For a more in depth look at this, I've codified each into a given category:
Type 1 - 'The long song at the end.' Often the title track. These have a tendency to be most well written and dynamic pieces on the album.

Zombies are great. Plain and simple. Zombies go great with heavy metal. Also plain and simple. I had drawn up a playlist of those metal songs most suited to soundtracking a zombie slaughtering, should a zombie apocalypse ever be upon us, which I thought was a good idea. And it was. What was not a good idea was the list, which wasn't particularly good at all. To rectify the situation, I have created this new, improved, and less embarrassingly terrible list. Since there are more than 50 wonderful songs to kill zombies to and I don't actually know them all, this isn't so much the "Top 50" as "50." Maybe if I get around to it I'll do up a sequel. Some stories, themes or concepts are presented not just in one single song but are split in separate tracks that (often) share the same title but are distinguished by a number of the corresponding part of the song series.

However, sometimes these parts are not found together on one album, but are included on different releases of the artist.
They can be found on two (or more) conceptually linked albums (where they function as part of an ensemble together with the other songs), or they can be included on independent releases (where only they alone continue their story).

Therefore, the main purpose of this list is to give an overview that enables the reader to find the missing song pieces - or even to inform that these pieces exist at all.
