The Best Of Dissonant Metal

Do not be fooled with the title. This is not a "best of ..." or " a guide to..." type of list. I've chosen this title because its better than "mz's favorite dissonant metal albums". I've noticed that albums with dissonant elements tend to cater to my taste and by dissonance, I do not mean the literal meaning of especial arrangement of notes discussed in theoretic music courses. Rather, I use this term as it has became a proper convention in metal communities when it comes to describing certain bands that often have a very especial avantgarde approach. These are albums which I find interesting in this field.
One album per band, with the exception of those bands that have albums which are vastly different in sounds. In the other words, I've put two BAN albums here.
Recommendations are encouraged and more than welcomed.

1. Abyssal - Novit Enim Dominus Qui Sunt Eius
2. Altars - Paramnesia
3. AMNIS NIHILI - Christological Escalation
4. Antediluvian - λόγος
5. Arkhon Infaustus - Orthodoxyn

Mz's Favorite Black Metal Albums

Hey everyone.
I used to avoid Black Metal for long since I considered BM musicians as "a bunch of monkeys, wearing corpse paints in a dark frost and pretending to hate humanity". Fortunately, some of them have proven to be more than that. My interest in Black Metal is progressively increasing and now I consider it to be one of the most divers metal genres, among with doom metal. Black Metal albums with experimental elements are more likely to appease me. Admittedly, this list shares a lot with my previous lists. These albums are included to indicate my taste in this genre. One album per band, unless the band's album have very different sound .The main aim of this list is to gain recommendations.

1. Aderlating - Spear Of Gold and Seraphim Bone Pt.1
2. Agalloch - Ashes Against The Grain
3. Alkerdeel - Morinde
4. Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors
5. Blut Aus Nord - The Work Which Transforms God

mz's Most Favorite Progressive Metal Albums

Progressive metal is one of my most favorite musical genres. The most interesting thing about this genre is the musical flexibility and the fact that progressive metal can come into different forms and this makes progressive metal one of the most divers genres of metal. For me, progressive metal is not just about stupid technicality and soulless show off. For this reason, my definition of progressive metal might be a little different from others. Progressive rock and metal were meant to put aside musical boundaries but nowadays it seems that being complex, technical, "intelligent", ambitious and pretentious is an inherent quality of prog metal genres. Screw this bullshits. Here are my most favorite prog metal albums. They might sometime be technical and complex but they all have their own soul in my opinion.

1. Tool - Lateralus
2. Opeth - Still Life
3. Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
4. Green Carnation - Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness
5. Mayhem - Ordo Ad Chao

mz's Favs

These are the albums which I like the most. Since I have not listened to a lot of albums( let's say, max 400 for me), it would be pretentious to make a list of my 100 favorite albums, so I keep this list short.

1. Tool - Lateralus
2. Esoteric - The Maniacal Vale
3. Lurker Of Chalice - Lurker Of Chalice
4. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
5. Blut Aus Nord - The Work Which Transforms God
