The Best Album In My Collection For Each Year ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

For each year that I have albums in my (metal storm) collection, this is the best, in my opinion. Pretty self-explanatory. Not counting compilations or DVDs.

So far 2011 has been the only year with any significant fluctuation.

1. Astra (USA) - The Black Chord
2. Obscura - Omnivium
3. Ghost - Opus Eponymous
4. Vektor - Black Future
5. Keep of Kalessin - Kolossus

Best Metal Drummers

This list is exactly what one would expect; a continually expanding list of my favourite drummers in metal, or if not really metal at least in bands featured on Metal Storm.

My requirements for them is fairly open ended, they just have to be either really good, innovative, I like their style, etc. Not ranked in any particular order.

1. Rush - Neil Peart
2. Meshuggah - Tomas Haake
3. Quo Vadis - Yanic Bercier
4. Slayer - Dave Lombardo
5. Led Zeppelin - John Bonham

Amazing ALBUM Covers

This is a list, that will be updated very gradually, with album covers that I find very appealing for one reason or another. It is emphasized in the title because I also have a list of cover songs.

The criteria for these is that they really have to grab me in some way, invoke an interesting emotion or feeling, have pleasing visual aesthetics, etc. It'll start small because I'm only including covers that really sink in.

1. Ghost - Opus Eponymous
2. Update: Hell no am I changing it to "B.C.", the pictures are tiny anyways and fuuuuuuck that shit.
3. Sulphur Aeon - Swallowed By The Ocean's Tide
4. Sodom - In War and Pieces

2. Death - Human
3. Buckethead and Friends - Giant Robot
4. Helloween - The Time of the Oath
5. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin I

Usefulness Of Letters In Metal Band Logos

Basically this list is to rank each letter of the alphabet in terms of it's potential usefulness in a band's logo. Just my opinion on which letters are the most valuable to have in a band name.

Looking at the value of each letter in capital form only, as the majority of band logos use capital letters only.

1. M - M is present in many classic logos. It has versatility, is naturally pointy, and is symmetrical, making it basically the ultimate letter. Also the letter my name starts with, so there is probably some bias at play here. But it is in the word metal, so.
2. T - Like 1st place M, T is symmetrical and fairly versatile. It gets such a high rank because of the potential to be shaped into a cross so easily, or the more widely seen inverted cross. Which is pretty metal.
3. O - O is also a good letter, it's easy to shape and mold around into various things. Also, like T it gets extra points cause you can make a very metal pentagram out of it quite easily.
4. S - S can often look very cool. Of all the curved letters jagged S's typically look the best. Also, like in Slayer's logo you can do the SS style thing, which is cool.
5. W - You would think being an inverted M that W might be a bit higher, but it just isn't as iconic and my name doesn't start with it. Warbringer and Watain both use it nicely.
