I didn't want to review this album. I mean, I reviewed Cavalera Conspiracy's Psychosis just a year ago, how much Max Cavalera can a person take in one year? But I'm a romantic metalhead and Max is one of my childhood heroes, so there you have it; my thoughts on the new Soulfly album. Read more ›› |

Agree, sounds as... always  Means good old Soulfly - nothing new, but great stuff! Aggressive and full of typical brasilian riffs. Great album. With the last track "Soulfly XI" they trying to teach us completely different music ... gentle accoustic with saxophone... Interesting. Good addition to whole album and loved by my wife

Pretty good album. Not enough variety to warrant a 9, but some great tracks (especially the title track, which is heavy as fuck).

Maybe one song was memorable. Max really needs to re-invent his songwriting style or start collaborating with outside writers. Everything he does sounds the same.

I like this a lot more then his last max albums, his son is starting to sound like a well rounded drummer with groove

Previous album "Archangel" was a masterpiece and a step to the right direction. This album continues the same direction which is a good sign, however still not as good as Archangel. I gave Archangel 10/10. I'm giving this 9/10. Also artwork is amazing on this one as well as it was on Archangel. "Ritual" and "Demonized" are great songs I would highlight from this album.
