Biography
(Lone) Wolf & Cub is a Chicago-based five-piece band that plays dense, thrash-laden, complex melodic metal. Like the films and comics they are named after, their lyrics often deal with dark themes. Their musical influences are varied, with the intensity of punk bands like His Hero Is Gone and Discharge, and the odd-time riffing influenced by early At The Gates and Lethargy. Speed and ferocity give (Lone) Wolf & Cub a unique blend of melody and mayhem.
After forming in early 2003, they quickly released a split 7" on a small local label and constantly performed gigs around the Chicago are. An EP, May You Only See Sky, was released by the band on Hewhocorrupts Inc. in early 2006. The band spent 2006 and early 2007 on tours in the central and eastern parts of the US in addition to the UK. They have worked with many Chicago promoters at venues such as the Empty Bottle and MP Productions while maintaining a strong presence at DIY spaces that keep live music vital.
Since the 2006/2007 tours, (Lone) Wolf & Cub have finished writing and recording their currently untitled full-length debut album which will be released once they tour more throughout American and/or the United Kingdom.
