Biography

Hanoverian whizz kids Cripper deliver Thrash-Metal with both classic old-school and modern influences, spiced up with some Swedish Death-Metal ingredients. Cripper stands for an individual groove-oriented mixture of ass-kicking moshparts and technical refinement - always hard-hitting.

Since 2005, the quintet around cow-elk Britta burns a swath of destruction through the European metal landscape, making marks as being a rousing live band, thrilling with dashing songs and sweaty shows.

The first EP Killer Escort Service is released in 2006, followed by larger performances including the Metalcamp Festival.

In 2007, the self-released full-length-debut Freak Inside is introduced to the metal-community. Feedbacks are euphoric with lots of gigs to follow, including Battle of Metal, Queens of Metal, Metalcamp 07. The same year, Cripper, Hatred and Lost World Order rock Germany on the self-organized Triple Thrash Treat Tour.

2008 sees a re-release of Freak Inside, published through SAOL, "Service for Artist Owned Labels". Ongoing performances include Way Of Darkness, Rock Mania, Winterbreath, Waldbrand, Metalcamp 08 and many more. Next is the second chapter of the successful Triple Thrash Treat Tour, with Cripper being endorsed by Schecter Guitars, Dixon Drums, Protection Racket, Istanbul Cymbals and Metrophones Headphones.

In June 2009, Cripper release Devil Reveals. Again, press reactions for this album are exceedingly positive. Live shows follow at Rock Harz, Wacken Rocks Seaside & South, Suffering Life, Break the Ground, Ragnarock and more ...In October 2009, singer Britta takes part in the 1st international congress "Heavy Metal and Gender" at "Hochschule für Musik und Tanz" in Cologne. Side by side with Doro Pesch, Angela Gossow and Sabina Classen, this event closes with a live show with Doro and Holy Moses.

Spring 2010 starts hot: Cripper supports Overkill on their Killfest-Tour and plays 19 shows across 9 European countries. Each show is a huge success and pushes the band around Britta , Christian, Jonathan Stenger, Dennis Weber and Bastian Helwig forward to gain a bit more of the world's ground.

At the beginning of 2011 it's time to check out the Caribbean to play the biggest floating metal festival ever, together with bands such as Saxon, Testament, Exodus, Death Angel, Iced Earth and Obituary: 70,000 Tons Of Metal. One thing is for sure: when Cripper is done they are not the only ones sweating.
