Northern Ireland folk metallers Darkest Era have recently revealed the cover artwork and tracklist for their forthcoming second album Severance which is due for release on June 3rd (US) and June 13th (Europe) via Cruz Del Sur. The album was recorded at Data Recording Studios in Ballyheigue, Ireland and produced by Chris Fielding and Darkest Era. Irish folk metallers Darkest Era have debuted their new video for the song "An Ancient Fire Burns" exclusively at BloodyDisgusting.com. The song comes off their debut album, The Last Caress Of Light, released in February 2011 via Metal Blade Records. The video features a grim story with a surprise ending and is as melancholic and emotional as the band's music and was directed by Kieran Majury with Fastville Productions.

Irish folk/doom metal act Darkest Era will be joining the Useless Drunken Bastards UK & Ireland Tour in 2012. As previously reported, Alestorm will headline the tour and Claim The Throne will be the support act, alongside Darkest Era now.

The band confirmed it on their Facebook page: "We're very pleased to announce a 14 date UK tour with Scotland's Alestorm and Australia's Claim The Throne! The dates take us right across the country and we can't wait! Check out the poster below!"
