Six Feet Under - Two New Songs Online

Two brand new songs from the upcoming Six Feet Under album "Commandment" are available for listening at this location.

"Commandment" is due on April 20 via Metal Blade Records in Germany (April 23 in the rest of Europe). The track listing is as follows:

01. Doomsday
02. Thou Shall Kill
03. Zombie Executioner
04. The Edge Of The Hatchet
05. Bled To Death
06. Resurrection Of The Rotten
07. As The Blade Turns
08. The Evil Eye
09. In A Vacant Grave
10. Ghosts Of The Undead

In a recent interview with Mark Carras of RockMyMonkey.com, Six Feet Under bassist Terry Butler stated about the upcoming CD, "I would say, if I had to describe the new style, it would be 'Maximum Violence' meets 'Haunted'. . . I'm really psyched about it. I really liked it. We had a good writing experience. We wrote all the music in the studio and it just flowed through. It's pretty upbeat the whole time, but there's some really catchy, groovy riffs. I think SFU fans are going to like it a lot, especially some of the older, the people who've been around for a long time listening to us, it will satisfy them. The last couple records we've kind of, I don't want to say gotten off our style, but we've always tried to be a little bit different. We didn't want to always just put ten records that sounded like 'Haunted'. So we just kind of, I don't want to say experimented, but we just kind of messed around a little bit, certain styles, but I think this is kind of back to what our fans would expect."

"Just want to fill you all in... I am sitting here right now cranking the fucking shit out of this motherfucker. Its full on brutal death metal guys -I mean heavy as fuck! The title track is on right now--this is the first CD ive done in a long time probably since Max Violence that I'm just freaking out on. I don't know how we put this together, but we did and its really, really incredible. Just had to share that with you this new CD will rip your fucking heads off. That's a promise-late Barnes

The title of the album is 13 and here are some of the track titles that we are allowed to release:
Decomposition of the Human Race
Somewhere in the Darkness
The Poison Hand

Six Feet Under - Enter in the studio

Tampa Florida death-metalers Six Feet Under headed into Morrisound studios Friday, October 1st to start laying down tracks to their next full length follow-up to Bringer of Blood. Right now the band is recording all the music and then Chris Barnes will head over to the Hit Factory to lay down the vocals. Once again Chris Barnes will be the producer and Chris Carroll will be handling engineering and mixing. As far as what this CD's subject matter will be about, Chris Barnes says, "the material is dark and demented, and is not uplifting." More information on the new album and studio updates from Chris Barnes will be made available in the coming weeks.

In other news SFU will be playing Puerto Rico on 10/29 and Trinidad and Tobago on 10/30, both shows with Hatebreed.

Florida-based death metallers SIX FEET UNDER have postponed their European tour to early 2005 in order to allow drummer Greg Gall to be home for the impending birth of his child (Greg's wife is reportedly due in November). No further information is currently available.
As previously reported, SIX FEET UNDER have covered AC/DC's entire "Back In Black" album for their forthcoming release, "Graveyard Classics II".
"Graveyard Classics II", due on October 19 through Metal Blade Records (one day earlier internationally), was recorded at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida with Chris Carroll mixing and Chris Barnes producing.

Six Feet Under: Graveyard Classics 2

SIX FEET UNDER frontman Chris Barnes has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Just wanted to check in with all of our dedicated fans this holiday season and let you all know what to expect from SIX FEET UNDER in the New Year? Well, first off, I want to thank all the bands on our last U.S. roadtrip, Unnatural Born Killers Tour, especially my good friend Sherwood and SKINLESS ? my favorite band to tour with, for the simple fact ? they rule! ? on all levels. If it wasn't for their dedication to that tour, among other things, that tour may not have happened ? and also would like to apologize to everyone that may have been hoping to see us at a couple shows (i.e. Brooklyn, Palo Alto) on that tour that canceled out, we want you all to know that if there is a way we will be making those dates up in the near future ? missing those shows was unavoidable, and it pissed us off? We are currently planning another U.S. tour starting at the end of January 2004 for 3 or 4 weeks. We'll have dates and support acts up within the next couple days.

"Right after the U.S. tour well be heading over to Europe to play 2 weeks of dates with FLESHCRAWL and CRIMINAL ? tour dates are up ? more TBA soon. Lookin' forward to seein' all you freaks over in Europe. Hopefully we can thaw you out this winter!

"What else? Right after the holidays, I'll be heading into the studio to start editing a new video clip for the title track, 'Bringer Of Blood' from our latest release. Look for that real soon. We've also recently confirmed With Full Force 2004 as well as Summer Breeze and more fests in Europe this summer TBA soon!

"As for getting into the studio to record, the next thing on the list is 'Graveyard Classics 2'. We'll be in the studio recording in late April/early May for a fall release date.

"That's all about that, for now...just wanted to keep you all as informed as I can. I'd also like to thank everyone at Metal Blade Records U.S.A. and Europe for a great year once again and their continued support and belief in this band.

"I hope everyone will have a great Christmas and holiday season and a sick fuckin' New Year."
