W.A.S.P. have released Golgotha recently, their brand new album and first in six years. The metallers led by Blackie Lawless have been doing a lot of touring to promote the record and now premiered a new lyric video for title track "Golgotha". Named after the hill where Jesus Christ was crucified, "Golgotha" (which means "place of the skull") continues the exploration of Biblical horror stories that W.A.S.P. employed on Babylon. As for this video, it partially shows the death of Christ from the perspective of the ones crucified with him that day.

W.A.S.P. long-time drummer, Mike Dupke, has posted a message on his Facebook page stating that he is no longer in the band and that they are, at least apparently in good terms. He has been W.A.S.P.'s drummer since 2006, and now his nine year stint has ended. W.A.S.P. have yet to name a replacement. W.A.S.P. are gearing up to release a new album titled Golgotha this October 2nd and the details like cover artwork and tracklist have just been revealed as well.

The heavy metal veterans recently signed a deal with Napalm Records for the release of their new album Golgotha, expected in the summer. During a press conference on June 6th before the band's performance at this year's edition of the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden, mainman Blackie Lawless stated that they are "about three weeks away from finishing" their new studio album, titled Golgotha, which will be released next year.
