Croatian gothic doom metal purveyors Ashes You Leave shared news that their former member Domagoj Galin, who had played bass on the group's 2002 record Fire, has passed away.

Comment from the band: ''It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed friend and former bandmate, Domagoj Galin, affectionately known as Dodo. He left us unexpectedly yesterday morning, leaving us all in a state of shock and disbelief.

"In the early 2000s, Dodo was an integral part of our musical journey, skillfully handling both guitar and bass responsibilities. His talent resonated through numerous performances across Europe, leaving an indelible mark on our collective memory.

"Beyond our band, Dodo was a revered figure in Croatian metal circles, his legend echoing through the music he passionately created and performed. His untimely departure has left a void that cannot be filled. As we mourn his loss, we find solace in the memories of his vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm. Rest in peace, Dodo.
