I don't like doom metal. But conoisseurs usually do, which means doom metal must have "something". To date, I listen mostly to doom with folk influences (Bilocate, Silent Stream Of Godless Elegy), but I'd like to know this genre better. Please, recommend some accessible doom or doom/death bands that are good for beginners like me. PS: 20 minute long tracks are not the best way to get into something...

Candlemass' first two. If you don't like one of them, check the other. Also, if you are a fan of Power metal, check Candlemass' "King Of The Grey Islands". All of these are traditional Doom, all of them are different from each other in certain ways.

I would recommend this two:

Katatonia - Dance Of December Souls
Forest Of Shadows - Where Dreams Turn To Dust

Pretty accesible in my opinion and no 20-minute long songs... just a couple that get close to 14 mins.

...
...
Process of Guilt - EROSION (MLI 1012)
...
...
Desire - Locus Horrendus

Could also add Desire - Crowcifix

Process Of Guilt is a bit of a strange one in your list since they also lean very heavily on post-metal as well.
Btw, a question out of curiosity... why did you add their label's catalogue number for that album? (the MLI1012)

@Marcel he might have copy pasted the album title from somewhere and mistakenly got the label number as well, also Erosion is written in caps for some reason

Other than that I would recommend,

Slumber - Fallout
Rapture - Silent Stage (more accessible then the other Rapture releases imo)
Whispering Gallery - Shades of Sorrow
Katatonia - Brave Murder Day
Virgin Black - Requiem - Mezzo Forte

I tried to be diverse, so I hope it helps.

Ouch how could I forget?
Accessible doom/death...

Officium Triste, all of their albums but especially Reason and Giving Yourself Away.
Start with those two and then work your way back.

I strongly agree with the suggestions for Isole, Novembers Doom, and Candlemass, though Novembers Doom may not be very 'accessible' if you are not into harsh vocals.

I would also add:
The Gates Of Slumber: Doom/Traditional Metal in the vein of Black Sabbath. There is a strong Saint Vitus and Manilla Road influence here as well. Check out weither their lates, "Hymns Of Blood And Thunder" or their previous release, "Conqueror."
Funeral: Don't let the name fool you - this is not repititious, snail's pace Funeral Doom. This is very melodic, and the vocals are haunting. Highly recommended.
Memory Garden: If you like Power Metal, this band is a good fusion of that and Doom. Pay special attention to the album "Carnage Carnival." The vocals on this one are especially good.
Blindead: From Poland, these guys play Progressive Doom. Their latest EP, "Impulse" is very spacey with a desolate atmosphere.

Try with AGALLOCH. Is quite soft and probably a good beggining.

The last album by Swallow the Sun is pretty good. It´s a mixture of melodic doom metal and death influences (basicly because the gutural voices)

Absolutely a great band, but unfortunately totally not doom.

Right, it´s not a totally doom band but I think it could be a good way to introduce in the doom metal. Its atmospheres and slow passages are fairly similar to orginal doom metal.

Yeah, but there are already doom bands that have a similar vibe and have already been mentioned, like the early works of Katatonia, Forest Of Shadows, etc. And Agalloch is not similar to original doom metal, hence I don't hear anything at all resembling traditional doom ala Candlemass or Solitude Aeturnus.

I would also add to the list:

Shape Of Despair - Illusion's Play
Mourning Beloveth - The Sullen Sulcus

I didn't place them on my original list, but now that I think of it, if I was able to love those two albums when I was 14(and didn't know much about doom) I think it is pretty accesible... and mind-blowing.

Should Ea be added?, they're Funeral Doom, but I find them somewhat accesible, since they have many melodic moments, I would recommend their 3 albums(Ea Taesse, Ea II, Au Ellai).

Chernobyl during winter. Kursk has a very modern sounding approach to doom, chunky and heavy most of the time. Lyrics in Russian is a plus. All in all not too essential a band.

This week I discovered close to perfect, if not perfect albums in the Melodic Doom Metal department. First Visceral Evisceration's Incessant Desire for Palatable Flesh, I can't believe I skipped listening to this, Melodic Doom/Death with gore lyrics, it doesn't get any weirder (in a good way) than this. The Second release was Candle Serenade's Nosferatu's Passion, this is a female fronted doom act in which she does both clean/operatic vocals and the harsh ones accompanied by entrancing song structures. Last but not least Absurd Existence's AngelWings an overlooked but memorable album, not to be underestimated. Just thought I should share the information.

Remina is new band from New Zeeland featuring Heike Langhans on vocals and Mike Lamb on all intruments. I see Light Field Reverie conection here. Slow doom metal musically similar as Draconian but no Anders harsh vocals and growls, just calm singing and a bit calmer melodies as well. More ambient touvh

Band has 2 singles, might be new album soon, check those out

Hammertheart records posted message about Tristitia remastered albums:
Tristitia is another gem from the glorious epoch of Holy Records and these recordings possess a superior, totally personal and theatrical sound full of magic and nostalgia. The whole concept of this band is able to place you somewhere in the middle ages, mocking crazy inquisitors and trying to escape from witch hunt.
