I thought it was one of the stronger ones in recent years. Lots of strong contenders. Ireland should have won, of course, but the competition was pretty strong overall.
The Malmö show was quite entertaining but there've been better ones and the conclusion was a bit underwhelming but was good fun tho thanks to the high concentration of wacky songs this year.
@no one - He got evicted from the house a week ago for not paying rent and left the house in a state, which was unexpected and fantastic news so house is empty for now.
01. A Silhouette In Splinters 02. It Comes In Whispers Part:2 03. Blood Red And True Part:2 (A Spell To Vanquish Sea Serpents) 04. Travelling Over The Ocean's Skull 05. Particular Dis-ease 06. Shimmering With Horn Of Woe
Additional info Compilation of previously unreleased tracks. Completely dark ambient.
Do we really have some proof that it's a compilation? Because everywhere I look I just see it regarded as another full length.
I suspect it's probably just a case of the wording that's given it compilation status. All the songs were recorded between 2000 and 2002. I just had a quick glance through his demos though and one of the tracks from this did appear on one of them (at least it had the same name) so it could literally be a compilation of unreleased and demo stuff. This does seem to be considered as an album rather than a compilation elsewhere though (MA, RYM, Discogs) so I might go ahead and change it.

Yeah, I see no problem changing it. Many albums have songs recorded between long periods and I dunno, it feels like it flows good enough to be more than just a compilation. It has been a while since I heard it though.

It's rivaling "Massive Conspiracy" as my favorite Leviathan release
I think it's overtaken it for me, purely because this is rather unique (not that Massive Conspiracy isn't pretty unique either). Such a good record. Glad I finally figured out it existed.
There is brilliance to this album and I appreciate the work and subtlety to the music, but after the first 3 songs I found the album to just meander. I know ambient music can tend to do that, but still. A little too much for my tastes.
It's been ages since I listened to this. It's pretty good but it doesn't grab me nearly as much as before. Excellent dark ambient though. Well-composed and carries a very calming mood despite the darkness behind it. I just think he does it much better with Lurker Of Chalice.
