Hell yes! Olympiakos made it to the Conference League final against Fiorentina. Football got interesting for the first time in forever. Let's bring the title home to Greece!
It's crazy how much nonsense I've heard for people who don't truly understand the offside rule (but then again, it's a pretty complex set of rules on paper).
@ Cynic, if you're talking about the 2nd goal, then you're very, very wrong. They were robbed only on that late offside which actually wasn't, and that's that.

Alkaloid is where technical death metal and extreme progressive metal converge: a project concerned not so much with covering as many genres as possible, but with the multitude of textures and techniques that may be applied within a few.
I'm excited for this one actually. First track sounds like they'll end up being a bit weirder than on their last. If they also stay as solid then I'm all for it. More Morean composition is always great. And Klausenitzer on bass is just perfection always.

After a first listen it's not as good as the debut. The best songs were the pre-released, otherwise it's a lot less interesting stuff. And did "Rise Of The Cephalopods" really have to be that long? It's the most uninteresting song on the album.

After listening for a week it's the strongest one of the two. Gone are the parts that didn't work on the first album and as a unit the album flows perfectly. Had to get used to the title track and the last song, but am in love with those now. A completely unique album that's bound to divide opinions just like The Malkuth Grimoire did.
The first song was absolute perfection and sadly the rest of the album doesn't live up to that. Although everything flows very smoothly the vocals and melodies feel a tad...random at times.
I bought the latest edition of Zero Tolerance magazine recently and the first track from this album was on a free CD that came with it. Played this track about ten times and couldn't believe my ears. Fucking excellent song! Never heard about Alkaloid or their debut album before. Bought the new album yesterday and it's going to stay in my CD player for a while. What an excellent, great sounding, complex, brutal and quite beautiful at the same time album. Oh, and I can't believe it's the guy from Dark Fortress on vocals. I own three Dark Fortress albums and did not recognise the guy. Really can fucking sing!

Hope you've gotten to listen to the first one, too. They really are excellent albums.
Bumped this to a 10 after pretty much non-stop listening. This album is awesome, and actually got me to go back and enjoy the hell out of the first one too!
Really cool album. Again. I think I should defenitely take a closer look at the other bands and projects of these guys, because they seem to be really good at what they're doing. Also nice album closer, normally I tend to get bored fast with those lengthy songs, but this one is surprisingly cool.
This is different from the debut, I think it has more downers but also the peaks are better even. I think generally the morean compositions here are king. That was also the case on the debut, but there the other songs were just as good almost, here they lack somethign I can't quite put my finger on.
Still overall a really solid album, of course.
