Biography
History is a race between education and catastrophe.
And the history of Weltbrand showed to be no exception to the rule. Even if the band emerged in the middle of a scene based on recycled ideas and ideologies no one lived up to, the band always went their own way. Sometimes a glorious train wreck, at other times a totalitarian regime in all its glory.
Founded in 2002 by RSDX, the band recorded their first mini album Radiance of a Thousand suns a year later. This recording was released as a full length album with some bonus songs by New Era productions in 2004, showing a varied mix of Black Metal with Industrial and Ambient passages. In 2006 the follow up album the Cloud of Retaliation was released by Sadolust records. 2007 offered a split 7" with Suicide Solution and after a small period of rest the band returned to the frontline in 2010 with the new album Control Division via World Terror Committee delivering once again the soundtrack for the Terror Machine that cannot be stopped.
