I honestly may not even listen to it. I'm pretty sure the only people who still enjoy Varg's music are the crazed Burzum fanboys, but I'm just speculating. Really I never thought Burzum was incredible... but now it's just pathetic

This album ain't bad, better than the previous one. One thing Varg should really do is to stop using vocals. For fucks sake, invite your wife to song if you want vocals, but seriously, Heil Odin was just unbearable. Heil Freyja was a little bit better, but still, the vocals are not complementing the music. Ek Feller is the worst...

Best songs on this album are the purely ambient one (no vocals) and the ones with chants/whispers. But the ones where Varg actually contributes with clean vocals are just horrible. I would gravitate along a 6.8 so a 7. Without the vocals I would have given this album an 8, but fuck... I wonder how the hell can Varg put up an offering with such a horrendous vocal performance...

If I were to rate the songs I would do it as such:

The Portal - 9
Heill Odin - 3
Lady In The Lake - 8
The Coming Of Ettins - 7
The Reckoning Of Man - 9

Even for an ambient album it is not good at all.

Not as good as his prison albums. sounds like a mix of early Mortiis and Neptune Towers at times. I'd like to hear him do an ambient album with top quality equipment. I really kike what he writes, but the sounds just aren't as good.
