The only thing fans of the band need to know is that this album can hold its own against Carnage.

Probably one of the most disappointing albums of the year for me. Not that it's bad and it's mostly my own doing because I rarely even develop expectations for this exact reason, but I was seriously hoping for an album of the year contender based on everything I've read about them -- the review here included. But it just doesn't click in any meaningful capacity. It's clearly a well-executed foray into revivalism but never seems to capture the magic or charm of what they're trying to pay homage to.
I have no memory of this place.
