Grave - Part Ways With Bassist, Replacement Announced
Swedish metallers Grave have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:
"We would like this to get official before too many rumors start. Grave has parted ways with bassplayer Fredrik Isaksson due to personal reasons and issues. Fredrik played his last show with us in late July at the Eisenwahn festival in Germany. There is no bad blood between us and we thank him for all the years with Grave and wish him luck with whatever he may do in the future..
Cheers!
His immediate replacement is Tobias Cristiansson [picture] (Dismember) who already did a couple of gigs with us the past weeks in Colombia and Finland. Tobias lives, breathe, eat, sleep and shits metal and we are very confident that he will be a great contribution to Grave both live and for writing new material."

Therion - Live Shows Cancelled
Official press release
The tour schedule has changed: The shows in Caracas (Venezuela), Chihuahua and Puebla (both Mexico) have to be cancelled and the show in Santiago de Chile has moved to the Teatro Caupolican. In Europe there will be an additional show - on the 11th of December Therion will play in Istanbul, at Refresh the Venue (which is really named like that).
The following message is from Christofer: "We are very sad to announce that the shows in Chihuahua and Puebla in Mexico have been cancelled. The situation with the drug cartels is becoming worse and worse in the north and the local authorities strongly advise against playing concerts in Chihuahua (and of course Monterray which also has been rumoured we would be playing), so the national promoter in Mexico has decided to cancel Chihuahua as the safety of the band, crew and fans cannot be guaranteed at this point. The Puebla festival has also been cancelled due to some sort of drug cartel related civil unrest problems.

Moonsorrow - Enter The Studio
Finnish metallers Moonsorrow have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:
"On Thor's day, September 2nd, Moonsorrow will finally enter the studio to record their next full length album! We have been working on the new material throughout the summer, and despite the extremely hot weather we've had in Finland, none of it is present in the atmosphere of the new songs. This stuff is cold, heavy and crushing. Lyrically we're dealing with life after the end of the world, so there is no light at the end of that tunnel either. The album will be recorded in various studios around Finland and it will be released in late February 2011. Check out the studiodiary for daily - or almost daily - updatings at http://moonsorrow2010.blogspot.com."
