Ensiferum keyboardist Emmi Silvennoinen won't be taking part in the folk metallers upcoming South American tour set to start on May 28th "due to personal reasons". The band's guitarist Markus Toivonen also recently had a health issue but has since then recovered from a problem in his ear.

AC/DC fans worldwide seem to be moving one step closer to a film paying hommage to the late singer Bon Scott. Key production team members from High Voltage Productions Pty., the current controlling production company overseeing Bon Scott - The Legend of AC/DC, begun talks this week with one of the world's leading production and entertainment companies. The film project is a docudrama chronicling the career of frontman Bon Scott of AC/DC, who died tragically at age 33 in 1980 after only six years with the band.
Swedish black metal outfit Pest have premiered the first song off their forthcoming album The Crowning Horror. The release will hit the shops on the 18th of June in Europe and 9th of July in North America via Agonia Records, and the track "Volcanic Eyes" can now be streamed through the Soundcloud player below.
Misery Signals will release a new album this year titled Absent Light. The band has already revealed the album cover, available below, as well as the release date for July 23rd. Sweden's Cult Of Luna have revealed a new remix from legendary artist and producer Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu). Carpathian Forest frontman Nattefrost was unable to gain entry into the US due to the immigration laws. Despite this setback, Carpathian Forest, whose remaining four members had been granted visas, was still aiming to appear at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore on the 26th May as scheduled, but as a four-piece, with guitarist Blood Pervertor taking on vocals. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the embassy was not able to return drummer Kobro's passport in time for the band to leave, and Carpathian Forest has therefore been forced to pull out of the festival completely.
Revocation released the EP Teratogenesis in 2012 and are showing no signs of slowing down. The metallers have now released the tracklist and unveiled the cover art for their upcoming self-titled release. The new album Revocation comes out on August 6th via Relapse Records.
