I cant be the only one that thinks this album kind of sounds like Metallica

I actually think it sounds a lot like early Megadeth

It sounds like they turned Metallica inside out.
With all the '...And Justice For All' influences on this album being very obvious, it still is a unique thrash album. This is by no means throwaway Meshuggah material, it showcases that they are capable of much more than poly-rhythmic power chord chugging, and if that is something you despise about Meshuggah then this is for you.

Rating: 7 Sounds like early Metallica meets early Megadeth with a little hint of Pantera thrown in every now and then. Interesting.

Rating: 8 This is a really really really fucking cool album!!!
First time I ACTUALLY listen to this.
I really like Meshuggah's modern style and I'm a big fan of technical/proggy thrash (Coroner, Vektor), so this is right up my alley.
I am very very happy that this exists.

Yeah like Marcel said its especially like early Megadeath and Rust In Peace very much. Still love the free flowing and almost jazzy groovyness of this record. Definitely my favorite from them as I prefer this sound over their more mechanical and aggressive works.
