Sometimes checking in with a band you gave a brief listen to once last decade pays off nicely.

Sounds more like melodic death metal to me

I added this to my 'to check out' queue when I saw it announced just out of curiosity; I remembered torrenting the debut when I first joined the site cos someone gave it a very glowing 'this is an Argentinian folk metal band' review, and then promptly never listening to it after the very first playthrough. Turns out, they are no longer a folk metal band; Gojira is the easiest reference for where they are on parts of this album, but it's doomier, proggier, more atmospheric, more symphonic and at times more dissonant as well. Honestly, it's just really damn good - what a transformation they've undertaken

I believe this album is getting somewhat overlooked. It has a great doom atmosphere, slight gothic influences, aswel as folk, It's both atmospheric, and melodic. Although this could of done with some clean vocals to go with the atmosphere in parts (just my suggestion) it's still a little gem.
