Testament/Warbringer sound, Kerry King type solos and a slight Morbid Angel inspiration on some riffs, this is a nice surprise. Nice thrash

This is thrash at it's most brutal, with some very aggressive vocals, catchy riffs, and a ferocious tempo, and the shredding solo's are brilliant too. I'm not too fond of the production though, the vocals were a wee bit overpowering in the mix for me, but overall a solid thrash album.

I agree with other comments above mine..."Slave Driver" is a fast paced, extreme thrash release with vicious/frantic solos, recognizable vocals that fit in well & weird drum sound that kinda ruins the listening experience a bit. Overall most of the 10 songs are rock solid 8 (Very good) for me. There are maybe 2 tracks that are only mediocre or good. I recommend this album if you like your thrash to be - in your face, aggressive and blunt. It ain't the best Dead Head release but it is a worthy addition to their legacy nonetheless.
