This is an interesting EP, particularly because it sounds like a mixture of 'Symphonies of Sickness' and 'Necroticism...'. It consists of one song each from these albums, plus two that aren't on either of these albums, and every song is pretty damn good. 'Hepatic tissue fermentation II' seems to me like a clone of its predecessor on 'Symphonies...', but the quality is still there.

The title track is awesome, and the re-recording of "Pyosisified (Rotten To The Gore)" sounds amazing. I don't often advocate remastering/re-recording, but Carcass' first album really deserved better than the horrendous original mix of it... even the band themselves hate it.
