Sarissa is the first album by the band, recorded in 1993 and released in 1994, after their demo "Demo 1987". As you realize, the band recorded the album after six years! Due to many line up problems that kept the band in inactiveness, they finally achieved to self release this album, with different members and vocalist this time. This is a bit of a strange album. There is a blend of several styles here, definitely heavy metal and power metal, as the genre tags say, but I would say there is also a great chunk of prog metal present here. There are some pieces in the music which standing for themselves are quite good, but overall put together I think this doesnt go quite well. In the end not that big of a surprise probably since around this time (1993/94) a lot of metal was on a bit of an awkward path, put mildly.
