I like that these guys make concept albums based on video games. As Dayum they released two albums based on Dark Souls and God of War respectively and this album is based on the excellent Prince of Persia series. And the music is great also of course.

Another band with super technical musicianship, that have once again created another album with a high quality, perfectly crisp production, unfortunately the overall album structure doesn't quite do it for me this time, sure they are highly skillful at their craft, like so many technical death metal bands out there, but there's nothing here that makes me think wow that's really impressive, maybe the exception of "Soldier of Sand" which slightly reminds me of Nile at times.

For me this has to stand out amongst the saturated tech death scene, and that deathcore element on this album doesn't work for me, I prefer bands to keep things relatively simple at times, too much complexity and technicality isn't necessarily a good thing for me imo, I prefer a more heavier and groovy approach, with a higher degree of catchiness and melody, but that's just me
