I think it's a good album with good band performance, it has its highlights. Not one of the classics of course but still credible.

A pretty average album for Deep Purple, with some moments of great instrumentation but for the most part is marred by a bad production and Gillan's clearly weak vocals. Blackmore's guitar work and Lord's keyboards (although not quite as outstanding as on past records) harmonize together wonderfully and the solos from both instruments offer some great effects to the album's general consistency. 'Anya' and 'Ramshackle man' particularly sound like some decent Deep Purple from the 70s, whereas the title track and 'Nasty piece of work' prove too tiresome and long for their own good.
