This was a good comeback, but it does have some filler. I actually prefer "Time" to this but quite a ways.

This is my first time listening to Mercyful Fate release after Don't Break the Oath and I've got to say:
Wow! Excellent comeback album! After 8 years working on his solo project, King Diamond returned to Mercyful Fate and released a banger that sounds just as great as Melissa and Don't Break the Oath!
I don't know what it is, but for some reason I prefer when King Diamond performs with Mercyful Fate rather than gis solo project. His voice has a lot of variation here and it contrasts so nicely with the thrashy guitar riffs of Denner!
This is a solid 8 on its way to a 9/10 for me!

I think there's something about the chemistry between King Diamond and the rest of his Mercyful Fate bandmates that works well together. I thought exactly the same about Bruce Dickinson when he went solo, his solo work wasn't a patch on his work with Iron Maiden.

Pretty good album that starts off a bit shaky. From Shadows and onward it's all quality with the last song being a bit weaker.
