I want to like this more than I do. Almach's blend of Violet Cold-esque blackgaze and heavy emphasis on traditional music is refreshing but their songwriting doesn't match up with the soundscape. It would be great to see them step away from yearly releases to focus on producing an album with songs that really showcase what they're capable of.

I have to admit I expected much more from this, their last release wasn't at all bad but this songwriting here fails to impress. They have some nice Middle-Eastern elements which unfortunately don't fit within the structure
