This is seriously heavy and brutal stuff indeed, such powerful slamming riffs, with great vocals, and an excellent tone, the sound quality more than makes up for the ok'ish songwriting. I would say it's more death than black, but certainly has elements of both.

Blows my mind this doesn't have a higher rating. I get there's not that many votes but this is one of the best death metal albums I've heard this year in a year I haven't really loved a lot of the death metal on offer. At least not the more traditional sounding DM. I'm not really sure where to put this to be honest. It had a lot of a blackened death metal feel to it for sure

The production could absolutely be better. I hope all eyes are on this band for the next album because with some money threw at these guys they could be something.

This album is outstanding. It is somewhat dissonant yet very melodic. Sounds kind of like a mix between old Watain à la Casus Luciferi, Deathspell Omega and Nightbringer. The writing is overall quite varied as well and the album does not drag on too much. I'm surprised this doesn't have way better/more ratings.
