Hercules is a Greek traditional heavy metal one-man project masterminded by Chris Andreadakis. After a lively, full-blooded outing in 2022, Legend Of Metal, Andreadakis has opted for a curious change in musical approach on follow-up record Waiting For The King.

Chris Hercules - the one-man band passionate metalhead - can't stop producing original epic metal masterpieces. The amount of ideas and momentary epic riffs in such a small time frame is so unbelievably vast. This guy seems to have received such a huge gift from the Muses. His inspired music flows endlessly like the water of the spring of Helicon.

Not as bad as I was expecting. It just feels like a rough demo. Something you'd record to remember the riffs you've written. With a more focused song writing approach and refined production, this could actually turn into something, but we're still a long way from that,

This is Hercules' most atmospheric album, has the most clean parts than any other album and I personally like the keyboard sounds even if they are old MIDI ones. The first track is beautiful. Dream of The Golden Path could have been more calculated or it could have been included as an unlisted bonus track due to the fact that it's an unrehearsed jam like I saw somone mentioning here. Of course there are plenty of heavy moments! Warlords of The Sun II is also on YouTube with different vocals. This album according to the CD was shelved since 2016-2017 but I don't really mind that. It's like Rise of The Beast but of course Manilla Road have much more musical experience, better studio, bigger budget.
