First time hearing this band, it's a quality release this, but certainly more melodic than atmospheric.

Yeah I agree with you, sounds pretty melo-black. Has a nice atmosphere nonetheless .

And damn, Meloblack is already such a hard pick this year for the awards, but now even stuff not in the short list are amazing! This album is very close to perfect for me, the only complaint I have is that some of the transitions feel a bit clunky, and they use too much fade ins / outs which I've made clear here that I heavily dislike.. But the rest is all great stuff.
