Amazing album. Technical, brutal, soothing, and beautiful. This is one of those albums to convert a non-metalhead into one. The downside being if you listen to it through about 10 times it starts to lose it's charm.

While I wouldn't say that this is the album to convert the heretics, this is certainly a phenomenal album

It's probably because you perhapslishnishly compare it to Eremita, which isn't this good, which I agree.
Maybe it is, but this is very different stuff. I remember this was the first thing I listened to from Ihsahn, so that might be it. By my usual tastes, I should like Eremita more since it is more progressive, but that's not the case at all.
