Rating: 10 Amazing album. Technical, brutal, soothing, and beautiful. This is one of those albums to convert a non-metalhead into one. The downside being if you listen to it through about 10 times it starts to lose it's charm.

Rating: 9 His best album in my opinion. Unhealer, Malediction, and Threnody are standouts.

While I wouldn't say that this is the album to convert the heretics, this is certainly a phenomenal album

Rating: 8 I was actually listening to this album. Now, after a few years, it sounds even better.

It's probably because you perhapslishnishly compare it to Eremita, which isn't this good, which I agree.

Maybe it is, but this is very different stuff. I remember this was the first thing I listened to from Ihsahn, so that might be it. By my usual tastes, I should like Eremita more since it is more progressive, but that's not the case at all.
