This is basically hard rock with some stoner rock/metal, he's shifted a long way from the early releases. Unfortunately, like with the last couple of releases, the vocals getting cleaner isn't necessarily playing to his strengths

Really liked the earlier albums, this one is just not for me at all

It doesn't particularly impressive me much, it's basically an average hard rock album, with ok songwriting, adequate vocals, and a fuzzy stoner guitar tone. I don't hear that much sludge here tbh.
