I never liked these black and white drawn cover arts of theirs but the music on the other hand is very good. Zora has such a beautiful and mesmerizing voice that's completely spellbinding. I can imagine her voice sounding like the ones Odysseus heard from the sirens while being tied up to the ship's mast during his quest.

These days when Within Temptation and their music is unrecognizable and has gone off course, it's lucky that we have Blackbriar delivering some high quality Dutch symphonic metal instead.

It's an excellent vocal performance, as I expected it would be, but the songwriting doesn't do a lot for me, other than a few catchy choruses and the odd solo or two. It's not a bad release by any means just not my cup of tea at the end of the day.

As a biased fan of symphonic metal, I really enjoyed this release. I think the first half of the album was better than the last, but overall still great, and big fan of Zora's vocals.

Excellant vocals, reminds me a lot of Anna Murphy. Like above, I think the album ends on a bit of a lame note towards the last 3 or 4 songs.
