Wow what happened here? A shame that the band is relatively obscure (especially on MS), but an even greater loss that this lacks all the magic of their last 3 releases. It sounds good, but there's no substance

Don't have knowledge of their previous albums to compare to, but sounds to me like a fairly decent replication of some of Devin Townsend's more slow and grand material. The general sound is pretty enjoyable, although the writing isn't consistently compelling enough to run for over 75 minutes

You're spot on. Check out the previous two LPs: if you like Devin you won't be disappointed, unless the similarity is too off-putting. I'd love to know if it's just me feeling this inconsistency versus their last outputs.
