Another great release from Faidra! When I got introduced to Black Metal, one of my favorite bands was Burzum. The atmosphere was so dark, I couldn’t believe. With “Six Voices Inside” Faidra really sent me back. To me it really sounded like that new Burzum album I never got, and I believe that’s the whole point about Faidra.

Militant : Peninent : Triumphant is another great album, with no bad songs, In which Faidra once again captures the atmosphere I first fell in love with back then. The only reason I’m not rating this a “9”, is because it gets a little too monotonous. But as I said, great album!



Top 50 Albums of 2023

I definitely hear some Burzum influences, mainly from the hypnotic riff melodies, and light synth work. Nothing exactly inventive or original about this but it's still great atmospheric black metal with hints of meloblack, however, the repetitive structure does often venture too far at times, it could have perhaps been mixed up a wee bit, the riffs tend to get overly drawn out slightly despite them being memorable.
